Full Job Description
Title: Security Officer

We are looking for competent Security Officers to facilitate surveillance and protection for our clients, residents, staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the client in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping their facilities safe and problem-free. Customer service experience is invaluable to this position.

Responsibilities - WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property
Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations
Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts
Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
Provide assistance to people in need
Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
Skills

Proven experience as security officer or guard preferred
A career driven individual/leader who is seeking opportunity within an organization that can help you develop personally and professionally.
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
Familiarity with report writing
Excellent surveillance and observation skills
You will be expected to deliver a genuine approach by providing customer service that is above and beyond needs and expectations.
Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems - Ability to learn new systems. You will be using the latest technology in the security industry to annotate detailed and accurate reports.
Licensed as a security officer, or willing to become licensed as soon as possible.
Armed/Unarmed security officers play a vital role by actively observing their surroundings, positively engaging with customers and associates, and responding to emergency situations.
High School diploma is required, Minimum age requirement of 21 - per Louisiana State Law.
Reports to: Advanced Officer

Location: Multiple Locations in Louisiana

Schedule: (9:30 PM - 5:30 AM), (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM), (6:00 PM - 4:00 AM), (8:00 9M - 4:00 AM), (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)

Pay Rate: Starting Hourly Rate between $14/$16 per hour; This is dependent on the class of officer. (i.e.- Class A, B, C or D)
