As the Analyst, you are focused on producing operational and business reporting to help our clients understand what is happening at retail, operationally with the services we provide and develop proactive analyses that help further client and business growth with valuable insights and recommendations. Client interaction and support will be a part of this role but will be typically under the supervision of their manager.

Overview
PURPOSE:

The Analyst will be responsible for directing all reporting and analytics activities for BDS Connected Solutions. The role of an Analyst is to provide insightful and creative analysis of data related to BDS Connected Solutions programs. In this role, the Analyst will build relationships with key stakeholders and will meet to review the report. The Analyst will need to be detail-oriented and must have the ability to provide meaningful market information. The Analyst will report directly to the Manager or Sr. Manager of Business Analytics.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Meet with internal stakeholders to ensure current reports are meeting business needs
Analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data related to client programs and markets
Create reporting that provides insight for internal account management and external clients; provide meaningful market information
Clean, check and manipulate data to build interactive dashboards via Tableau that are user-friendly
Prepare client-ready, error-free, and timely spreadsheet deliverables, PowerPoints, and written reports to present findings in clear, concise summaries
Manage changes to reporting databases and maintain effective data collection protocols
Manage all reporting work-flows, tasks, and deliverables; assess the effectiveness of programs
Maintain professional relationships with all internal stakeholders

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, marketing, computer science fields preferred
Experience in using Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake, SQL, STAT TOOLS, SPSS, STATA, R, Excel, and/or other data analysis tools
Project management experience

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Two or more years of related experience in business analysis
Understanding of market research and analysis techniques
Retail sales or marketing experience preferred
Demonstrated business-related problem-solving skills and organizational skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Good math skills and working knowledge of statistics
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities, including competing demands
Expert knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint is necessary
Experience in retail within the CE or CPG categories is preferred
Tableau experience preferred
Excellent presentation skills and the ability to engage others and use a data-based approach to help persuade people from the positions and assumptions because of the clarity of your approach.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work in a team environment and deal effectively with various levels of internal and external clients
Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and to change priorities while maintaining the highest levels of customer service and level of detail
Attention to detail and strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while being flexible and open to changing priorities
Self-driven with the ability to take the initiative, work independently, and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related computer hardware and software
Client-focused attitude and strong customer advocacy skills
Strong presentation skills

Work Schedule and Travel Requirements:

Typical Monday through Friday schedule, 40 hours/week
Position will work out of a home office as well have the ability to work from the corporate environment and client locations when necessary
Minimal travel to different markets for client specific events
