Job Summary
Responsible for scheduling, unloading, and delivering inbound trucks for raw materials, equipment, misc. supplies and finished goods. Coordinates with warehouse team to ensure the safe and efficient material moves. Responsible for paperwork and data accuracy for receiving, shipping, inventory and locator accuracy.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Ensure all tasks are performed in a safe manner.
2. Ensure compliance to all safety policies and procedures.
3. Comply with OSHA, DOT and Hazardous Material regulations pertaining warehouse and trucking operations.
4. Observes plant and departmental safety rules and regulations.
5. Maintains safety, housekeeping and 6S standards for assigned work areas.
6. Understand and fully utilize all ISO procedures.
7. Coordinates and schedules all incoming loads of materials and equipment.
8. Coordinates and schedules outgoing loads of finished goods, samples, and equipment to meet company requirements
9. Work well in a team environment
10. Receiving duties include but are not limited to:
Maintains a receiving schedule based on scheduled appointments
Coordinating physical receipt moves (staging, locating)
Receipts of raw materials and MRO items
PO and service receipts in MP2
Customer returns
Railcar receipts
11. Shipping duties include but are not limited to:
Assist other departments in coordinating outgoing shipments
Daily small package shipping labels printed and applied appropriately
Completes export paperwork as required
12. Works with planning, customer service, operations, carriers, customers, and vendors to resolve conflicts/problems.
13. Completes back-up or manual documentation as required.
14. Manages empty drum/tote shipments.
15. Responsible for First In – First Out inventory transactions.
16. Participates in cycle counts as required.
17. Knowledgeable of handling procedures for all materials to prevent accidents.
18. Responsible for warehouse housekeeping.
19. Assist loading / unloading as required.
20. Verify, identify and inspect a wide variety of incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods from operations.
21. Responsible for various inventory transactions using barcode scanner and/or computer system.
22. Prepare and/or assemble required shipping and receiving documents.
23. Responsible for warehouse record retention.
24. Represents warehouse operations in audits as it relates to shipping/receiving paperwork and documentation.
25. Able to prepare all required documentation in a legible and complete manner.
26. Troubleshoot any material problems including inventory discrepancies, freight damage, contamination, packaging or handling issues.
27. Trains others as required and trains on other warehouse positions as required
28. Provides relief for other warehouse personnel as required
29. Ensures timely resolution for items returned to vendor or scrapped.
30. Consistently look for efficiencies and process improvements
31. Other duties as assigned
