Merchandiser in retail garden centers!

LEAD MERCHANDISER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for 10-12 stores.
• Manage teams of 0 to 5 merchandisers.
• Set schedules and manage time cards for members of their team.
• Train team members.
• Assist in merchandising plant shipments.
• Assist store in floor sets and modular.
• Train store on proper watering techniques, receiving procedures, and plant information.
• Ensure plants are getting watered on a regular basis.
• Build relationships with all of our customers.
• Work as a team player.
• Provide weekly updates and field insight using reporting apps and photos.
• Key communications with shipping facilities.
• Work with customers to show them the value in growing their business.
• Assist Clients in inventory management.

REQUIREMENTS FOR LEAD MERCHANDISER:
• Weekend availability.
• Daily travel within the market required.
• Daytime availability.
• Open to fluctuating hours (In Season: 35+ hours a week/out of season: 20 hours a week).
• Ability to stand, lift, push, pull up to 75lbs for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions (snow, ice, rain, wind, heat, cold).
• Ability to work independently.
• Reliable transportation, and willing to submit to an MVR.
• Car Insurance listed in your name.
• Smartphone, and knowledge of how to use it efficiently.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Compensation:
• $17-$18 per hour

• Mileage reimbursement/paid travel.
