We are made up for three divisions: Public Health, Environment, and Health care finance (which includes KanCare). We are the only agency in the nation to have these three entities under one roof. Position Summary & Responsibilities

The position (K0231142)
Provide technical assistance and support to Regional Trauma Councils (RTC), including management of budgets, maintenance of contact information, communication facilitation, information sharing, contract development, contract compliance monitoring. Communicate Advisory Committee on Trauma (ACT) recommendations to RTC executive committee and general membership. Maintain and distribute minutes for each RTC and annual RTC Executive Committee meeting. Develop and monitor RTC progress on regional trauma plans through the Regional Dashboard.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Coordinate trauma training events and workshops including: organization and facilitation of meeting logistics (i.e., location, time, agenda planning, speakers and subject matter experts, meeting material preparation, travel reimbursement, etc.). Trauma training events include workshops, initial and renewal certification courses, and coordination of trauma education awards, as funding is available. Collect and process RTC educational funding requests, monitor course completion, collect necessary documentation, authorize RTC payment, etc. Process annual and statewide trauma symposium registrations and create sign-in rosters. Electronically file all course, symposium, and workshop completion documentation.
Qualifications
Education:
High School, GED
Licensing & Certification:
Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State.
Minimum Qualifications:
Four years of experience applying knowledge and skills associated with the appropriate care of trauma patients. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Public Health or Health Care
Master’s Degree in Public Health or Health Care
