Proposal and Office Support Specialist
SIG is seeking a Proposal and Office Support specialist to join the San Diego office. This position will be responsible for the preparation and submission of SIG’s responses to request for proposals from colleges and universities, making presentations, assisting with higher education ERP procurements, and planning and managing logistics for attendance at higher education technology conferences as well as general office duties and contract review. This position will work from the SIG office in San Diego.

Responsibilities:
Office Support
• Organize and maintain office and SharePoint files.
• Scheduling meetings and sending meeting invites to attendees
• Overseeing clerical tasks, such as sorting and sending mail
• Drafting monthly employee newsletter
• Sending weekly update email
• Assisting with onboarding
• Assist with contract renewals and related reporting
• Support Customer Relationship Management (CRM) implementation
• Assist with special projects, as assigned
Preparation and Submission of Proposals
• Monitor a variety of RFP/Bid websites searching for postings of requests for proposals (RFPs) which match SIG’s service offerings.
• Develop winning proposals that clearly articulate the company’s overall solution, strategy and approach to meet the requirements of the RFP from a college or university.
• Develop and write clear, persuasive, and articulate descriptions of SIG services to be included in proposals; translate technical concepts and other ideas into easily understandable narrative; rewrite, review and update proposal library and other related documents used in SIG proposals.
• Apply interpersonal and interviewing skills to gather information that is needed from SIG staff to support writing activities and development of proposals.
• Deliver a quality product that is uniquely designed to meet the requirements of each document request. Typical writing deliverables will include articles, case studies, ad copy, presentations, personnel profiles, as well as responses to RFPs.
• Manage an active proposal content library which will be managed in SharePoint.
• Organize documents and track past proposal materials for use in future proposal responses.
Required Qualifications:
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; monitor and meet tight deadlines
• Must be detail oriented
• Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Proficient in the use of proposal and presentation technologies which include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator) or similar tools
• Ability to write with concise detail, yet maintain brevity
• Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally to SIG
Preferred:
• Experience in higher education or in an industry that serves colleges and universities
• Experience in technology service provisions
• Experience with higher education ERP systems
• Experience with ERP procurement processes
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
