IT Support Specialist
Strata Information Group is seeking a highly capable IT support specialist to provide technical assistance to our staff. In this role, your duties will include ensuring optimal use of our hardware and software technologies, enhancing system performance, and securing data. Responsibilities of the IT Support Specialist:
• Support employees remotely or face to face with company needs based software and or hardware.
• Image, prepare, and test workstations for deployment for New Hires. Setup and install specific to employee needs.
• Installing, updating, and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks ensuring system and data security
• Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
• Support the implementation of upgrades or applications.
• Resolve issues for staff via phone, in person, or electronically.
• Establish accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems.
• Monitor software for external intrusions, attacks, and hacks.
• Research best ways to secure company-wide IT infrastructure.
• Participate in business-wide meetings to provide insight into technical requirements.
Preferred Qualifications of the IT Support Specialist:
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in a technical support role.
• Certifications are preferred, but not required.
• Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications.
• Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
• Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions.
• Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
• Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.
• In depth knowledge of Windows, WebEx, Mac OS, Microsoft Office 365.
• Skills of perception and QA, ability to identify vulnerabilities and overall issues.
