The Facilities Electrician III will perform the responsibilities of position on behalf of Medxcel at the assigned working location of WFH -St. Francis -Milwaukee, WI. The Facilities Electrician III assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. The Facilities Electrician III diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. He/she inspects electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. The Facilities Electrician III leads training for new associates and serves as a Subject Matter Expert to facilities stakeholders. The Facilities Electrician III also leads larger scale projects as assigned.

Responsibilities
Maintaining Electrical Systems:
Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in electrical systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs
Installs electrical equipment and systems for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities
Develops and implements departmental equipment procedures for power outages
Performs and develops preventative maintenance measures of all electrical equipment in compliance with all NFPA, NEC and TJC codes ensuring operational readiness and performance. Maintains and contributes to systems training manuals and upgrades as changes occur
Prepares the preventative maintenance schedule and produces monthly reports
Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
Identifies and recommends long-term needs and strategies for electrical systems and components, resulting in cost savings
Maintains knowledge of and develops departmental equipment procedures for power outages
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations
Maintains vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition
May serve as a dedicated service tech, providing electrical services to facilities/buildings within a defined region, requiring travel to multiple sites to perform service and billings functions
May coordinate, maintain and repair all energy management systems
Special Projects:
Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions
Leads training and department orientation for new associates
Leads special projects as assigned
Serves as Subject Matter Expert for facilities stakeholders, including Level 1 and 2 electricians
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED required
Graduate of Electrical Trade School required
License/Certification:
Valid Driver’s License required
Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification/license required
Experience:
5 years of experience as a journeyman electrician required
2 years of experience in project/construction management required

Review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or speak persuasively to implement desired actions; and solve practical problems
