Position Description: The Director of Success Academies oversees the successful implementation of AIM’s tech education and personal development programs ensuring alignment to the vision and mission of the organization - to build the tech community. This individual will set the direction for assigned programs and employees.
The incumbent will take ownership for the quality and improvement of programs including all processes, content, curriculum, and projects by continuously learning and analyzing program evaluation data. This position will lead by example by adhering to best practices, organizational policy, and by setting clear expectations that are transparently communicated.
Create the strategic direction for, and oversee the operations of,AIM Success Academies including Upward Bound, Code Academies, Code School, and other tech training.
Creates, evaluates, and continually improves model programs for growing the tech talent community.
Keeps programs on track through fiscal management and monitoring team performance
Coaches, supervises, and guides outreach coordinators
Coordinates academic support programs and establishing priorities
Develops strategies to recruit students from the target populations
Coordinates data and record management and establishing policies and procedures
Creates effective relationships with partners, staff, and administrators
Partners with organizations to promote tech careers, especially those that have an impact on underrepresented populations.
Designs a comprehensive evaluation program to assess the impact of project activities and services.
Communicate and advocate for the AIM Brand
Engage in the tech community including attending and hosting events on behalf of AIM
Be an expert with respect to the tech industry
Develop the core positioning and messaging for the programs
Create and maintain efficient processes to recruit, enroll, and provide services to participants
Monitor and report on all program metrics and leading indicators (metrics)
Develop new programs as is necessary to deliver mission services to the tech community and close gaps in the ecosystem
Oversee a plan to ensure Access personnel are engaged in the tech community across the organization
Identify partners for new grants and ensure all AIM employees maintain positive, mutually productive relationships with partners
Work with program staff to find and maintain key program partnerships
Participant in the Grant Vetting process by Locating Funding Opportunities at state, local, federal level including governmental, charities, and foundations.
Serve on the management team of AIM adhering to the leadership expectations as much as possible to unify the team and model best practices
Adhere to all AIM policies and process including systems usage
Serve as the L10 meeting owner for all Access related functions/meetings and become an EOS expert.
