Staff Research Associate II
Posted: 2 August, 2022Organization: UCSF
Location: San Francisco, CA
The Staff Research Associate II (SRA II) was created to support research efforts in the laboratory. The research efforts are geared towards better understanding genetic underpinnings of reproductive genomics. The laboratory utilizes human and mouse samples to study mechanisms of reproductive genetic pathologies, including ovarian failure and uterine leiomyomas. SRA II will involve collection of human tissues from women with gonadal dysgenesis and premature ovarian failure, as well as women with leiomyomas. The SRA II will maintain accurate records of tissues and phenotypes collected. The employee will be involved in generating animals that carry specific gene variants and characterizing their phenotype. The SRA II will design guide RNAs and perform gene editing in embryos and determine germline transmission.
