Quality Technician II

Can perform receiving, final, or customer-based verification/inspection on product before shipping direct to customer stock Must ensure product and paperwork is in accordance with specifications, drawings, and processes. Utilizing your expertise, you will compare the products with released engineering/customer drawings, purchase orders and other contractual requirements as specified by operations. Complies with AS9100 / ISO 9001 and other quality system standards. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned:
Principal Responsibilities:
Determine product conformance to customer specifications, engineering/customer drawings, manufacturer's specifications, and company processes and procedures
Ability to read and fully understand engineering/customer drawings and specifications and to effectively communicate discrepancies
Familiarity with defense / aerospace / military / avionic customers
May coordinate or assist in developing and maintaining all AS/ISO system documentation, including work instructions and departmental policies and procedures.
Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
Tech will be required to get certified for all customers and value add processing.
Job Level Specifications:
Knowledge of defense / aerospace / military / avionic customers, job content, practices, and procedures
Proficient using computer and Microsoft office products.
Work is performed under minimal guidance and assigned in the form of desired expectations.
Collaboration with internal or external contacts. May participate on teams for special assignments. Responds to requests from senior management, internal and/or external contacts.
Travel may be required
Work Experience:
Typically, 2+ years Quality Assurance inspection in electronics / manufacturing environment or defense/aerospace / military experience is preferred
Receiving, in process, and/or final inspection of electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical product and/or assemblies
Experience with any of the following: receiving inspection, in process inspection, final inspection, source inspection, or 1st article inspection including AS9102 FAIR’s
Knowledge of QA process with nonconforming material
Education and Certification(s):
High School Diploma or equivalent
Associates degree preferred
