Repair Technician I

Analyzes, troubleshoots, repairs, and resolves technical problems with equipment or components.
Principal Responsibilities:
Recommends replacements or repairs as appropriate.
May also perform equipment and component cleaning, regularly scheduled maintenance services, and/or equipment calibration.
Performs equipment set-up as needed.
Maintains work area, and equipment and tools in good working order, and organized and clean.
Completes documentation itemizing services, and updates related logs, e.g., inventory, environmental, etc.
Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Level Specifications:
Acquires basic skills through work experience or formal training to perform routine tasks.
Tasks are routine, repetitive and manual in nature with minimal complexity or variation and specific to the job.
Work is performed under supervision with detailed instructions. Priorities are provided for performing work.
Interacts mostly with immediate peers within assigned team. Based on nature of the role, may respond to requests from others in the organization.
Impact of decisions is primarily contained to the work of the job.
Work Experience:
Typically requires less than one year of related experience.
Good interpersonal skills.
Experience with automated pick and place SMT is preferred but not required.
Education and Certification(s):
High School Diploma or equivalent
Distinguishing Characteristics:
3D printing experience is a plus
Ability to operate or learn how to operate multimeter equipment.
May require standing for prolonged periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
Position may require travel.
