This job is essential to Bank operations and will be an onsite role.
The Cash Services Business Support Manager is expected to develop knowledge in all facets of the Cash business line. The incumbent will be responsible for providing leadership and assistance in administering and managing critical functions and activities throughout the department and will serve on Bank and System workgroups. The Manager must enjoy switching between working independently and collaborating with teams.
Principal Accountabilities
Provide leadership support to Boston Cash Services by:
Leading and/or supporting department activities and projects and associated planning, tracking and reporting
Supporting department planning, including the development, design, and implementation of annual goals and objectives, the Bank’s business planning and budget process
Leading and/or performing business analysis, data collection and reporting in support of Cash business/operational/policy decisions
Communicating and collaborating across System resources and department functions to resolve business issues
Developing and leading employee engagement campaigns and initiatives including team building, innovation, and diversity related
Developing change management strategies and department communications
Supporting business requirements of the department including those related to workforce planning and tracking, budgeting, contracts and purchasing, business continuity, records management, and audit as assigned
Coordinating research and identifying opportunities for process improvements, emerging technologies, and business trends to leverage within the business
Representing the department by leading or participating on key Bank/System committees and workgroups/initiatives
Inform and engage stakeholders
Conducting performance management activities for assigned staff including developing and monitoring progress on performance objectives, conducting interim and annual performance evaluations, and promoting the achievement of professional development plans
Effectively coaches and develops staff and communicates feedback. Fosters an environment that promotes knowledge sharing, an inclusive

Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of job related professional and supervisory/management experience. Possesses a strong track record in positions of increasing responsibility in a managerial capacity.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and organizational awareness
Demonstrates excellent communications, negotiation skills and the ability to influence change. Exceptional writing ability is mandatory for this role.
Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and management of multiple priorities with competing demands for resources will be important.
Strong business acumen and talent management leadership competencies.
Is results driven. Demonstrates effective time management, planning and project management skills and the ability to pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously. Adapts to changing circumstances, shifts priorities on short notice and delivers superior results on time and with minimal supervision.
Possesses critical thinking skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity, strong problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Possesses strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills and the ability to utilize tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Proven ability to collaborate, build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues within the department, Bank, System, as well as external vendors and service providers.
Proven ability to conceptualize, plan, develop, and complete large scale, complex, technical projects, and manage simultaneous projects and initiatives
Strong technical aptitude, including advanced MS Office 365 skills are required: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, SharePoint, Teams.
Knowledge of payments systems, Federal Reserve business operations, cash operations processes or exposure to a highly controlled/regulated environment highly preferred.
