The Process Engineer is a key technical lead to manufacturing for daily operational support to maintain and improve product/process quality standards. Plans, directs and coordinates the development and improvement of manufacturing processes. Duties include the establishment of new or modified operating standards and procedures along with the training of operating personnel. The Engineer is responsible for interfacing with all necessary groups within the organization to support the development of new products from concept to commercialization. The Engineer is also responsible for coordinating the design, acquisition, installation and start-up of new equipment, including managing the associated capital project.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering required.
Work Experience:
0-5 years of experience in an Engineering and/or Manufacturing role.
Proficiency in computer applications (CAD, Word/Excel/Email/Access) required.
Daily involvement with roll to roll web handling, coating, and embossing processes.
Lean-Sigma experience with knowledge and applications of tools & applications preferable.
Experience in a film processing industry with direct process line responsibility.
Experience with responsibility for capital projects and outside vendor planning and coordination.
