The Volunteers of America MN Float Team is looking for an Nursing Assistant who wants to set their own schedule and work in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area! Other locations include Sleepy Eye and Rochester. You can work a minimum of 4 shifts per month, including 2 weekend shifts and 2 holidays, up to full time hours. It's up to you!
We offer great wages ($19.00/hr!) and the flexibility of setting your own schedule at one or more of our facilities, based on shift availability, combined with the benefits of being a part of the Volunteers of America family. You will be assigned to work in any of our facilities located in Anoka, Minnetonka, Coon Rapids, Rochester, Sleepy Eye, and Maplewood.
This is a PRN/On Call position. MN Float Team CNA's must be willing to work at any of our Minnesota locations, as needed: Skilled Nursing, assisted Living, Home Care, and Affordable Housing.
The Nursing Assistant role is to provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with established facility nursing care procedures as directed by clinical supervisors.
The Nursing Assistant is the heart of the clinical team, providing direct care and activities of daily living for our residents that they cannot do for themselves. You will be rewarded with smiles and gratitude from the residents you provide care to!
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist residents with activities of daily living.
Reports promptly to the nurse any changes in the resident condition.
Immediately reports any suspected abuse or neglect per facility policy.
Accurately utilizes electronic systems of documentation as required per facility policy.
Attends/Completes educational offerings, and obtains at least twelve (12) hours of continuing education a year per state regulations.

Job Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a Certified, Registered or State Tested Nursing Assistant in the state of employment
Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job without harm to self or others.
Ability to prioritize duties.
Ability to understand and follow work assignments.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.
Must be willing to work in facilities following precautions and testing requirements for COVID-19.
