Concepts: Pubbelly Sushi (4 units), Osso (2 units), Mench (2 units), Torno Subito, Papa, Mensch, Hitchi Haika, June, and Julia & Henry (food hall concept).
The HR Coordinator will support the King Goose Hospitality Human Resources Department in all areas of Human Resources. In this position, you will help organize, coordinate and carry out all human resource department projects and processes for the company. You will work directly with and assist the Human Resources Director to fulfill a variety of necessary HR tasks. This includes all hiring, firing, training and company education procedures for new or existing employees. This role must track and maintain all employee data (contact information, earning rates, absences, promotions, etc.) using our HRIS (Human Resource Information System) software, so strong computer and clerical skills are a must. This role must help maintain positive employee relations and work to ensure worker satisfaction through education of HR policies and by fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented and most importantly, personable and approachable.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
· Works directly with and reports to the human resources director regarding all HR endeavors
· Support HR director in educating and enforcing employees on company policies
· Assists with the processing and maintenance of all HR and employee-related paperwork, such as employment verifications, resumes, hiring and termination paperwork, reminders for performance appraisals and birthdays, benefit enrollments and updates
· Recruitment and Staffing for all locations to include but not limited to posting positions on various sites, screen applications/resumes, interview candidates, set up interviews, attend job fairs, prepare offer letters and forward rejections letters. Complete of all new hire paperwork within three days.
· Process payroll for all locations to include review of employee profile, terminations, ledgers, payroll change status and garnishments.
· Review and ensure the completeness of the Biweekly payroll
· Draft and send company announcements for various occasions (new management hire, termination, promotion, birthday, etc.)
· Assist and monitor benefits packages to include open enrollment, benefit orientation, PTO, and FMLA.
· Manage COBRA, Workers Compensation, and Unemployment Claims.
· Maintain Legal compliance and routine audits of I9 documents
· Monitor the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees.
· Monitor and advise managers in the progressive discipline of the company
· Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
· Help supervisors in assessing employee engagement and evaluation
· Assist in developing training curriculum and delivering training courses
· Maintain the HR team's calendar (schedule meetings, interviews, HR events, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.)
· Create and submit reports to senior management
· Review, guide and approve management recommendations on employment terminations.
· Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
· Maintain an accurate employee telephone list and other necessary databases. Updating all company distribution lists.
· Other projects as assigned by management
MINIMUM Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Minimum 2 years of experience as an HR coordinator required
· Strong ability in using MS Office and possess solid general computer, math and analysis skills
· In-depth knowledge of human resources operations and best practices
· Must be highly organized and have excellent written and oral communication skills
· Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems
· Any additional training and certification in Human Resource Management will be considered an advantage
· Previous experience in the food industry preferred

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
