The Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist

Provides Therapeutic Behavior Services (TBS) to children and adolescents in the community, residential treatment settings and/or group homes under the direct supervision of the TBS Program Manager. TBS services include behavioral interventions designed to reduce the risk of clients entering a higher level of care or to assist them with transitioning to a lower level of care. TBS services are designed to be short-term & intensive, and the Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist may work between 7-20 hours/week one-on-one with each client and/or their caregiver. The TBS Coach will be traveling up to 100milies one way to provide services in Ventura county in either a foster home or residential treatment setting. The Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist receives weekly individual supervision from the TBS Program Manager and group supervision 1x/month.
Work experience requirements:
One (1) year direct service experience with severely emotionally disturbed (SED) youth in an inpatient or outpatient health care setting required.
Valid California Driver's License, required.
Ability to pass a DOJ criminal clearance check.
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, sociology, health and human services, counseling, education or other relevant field from an accredited college or university is required.

Pay: $16.04 - $18.05 per hour
