CTCS Inc,is a traffic control company that performs lane closures, flagging operations, detours, road closures, permanent signs, installation of water filled barrier walls, and installation in work zones.
POSITION SUMMARY: Completes operations of assigned traffic control/safety projects setting up and taking down lane closures and/or flagging operations. Takes direction from the prime contractor, as it relates to project work. Performs lane closures on state highways and other roadways. Work independently or part of a traffic control crew.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Place temporary construction signs in work area.
* Place arrow board or variable message board in work area.
* Place traffic cones and other traffic safety devices in work area.
* Check work zone throughout shift to be sure items are still in their proper place.
* Pick up traffic control items at beginning and end of shift and load into the truck.
* Drive TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicle to and from project and on work site to protect workers and work zone. (If needed)
* Install, remove and reset traffic control equipment.
* Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
* A valid Driver’s License is required to operate company trucks.
* Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass background check including driving.
* Basic reading/writing ability to comply with road signs, complete paperwork and knowledge of federal motor carrier safety regulations
* Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
* Standing for long periods of time.
* Previous experience in traffic control set ups is a plus, but not required.
* Certification as a Flagger or WTCS is preferred, but not required.
* Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen.
* Willing to travel throughout the state as some projects may require overnight stay.
* Control traffic passing near, in, or around work zones.

Requirements
Applicants must have at least 1 years experience (preferred)
Applicant must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Applicant must be able to work outdoors in extreme heat and/or cold
Applicant must be able to lift at least 30 lbs
