Job Summary:
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant will be responsible to assist with the month end close and reporting process which include account reconciliations, functional analysis (including but not limited to P&L, balance sheet and various accounts.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Record cost adjustments to ensure all cost of inbound shipments.
• Prepare journal entries and schedules with proper support.
• Account reconciliations include but are not limited to accounts receivable, merchant deposits in transit, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accounts payable, other accruals and debt.
• Prepare monthly sales tax filings.
• Reconcile monthly inventory balance.
• Reconcile related party accounts.
• Assist with Concur expense review and processing
• Assist AP in Accrual processing and analysis
• Assist in the yearly audit and tax requests providing supporting schedules.
• Answer general accounting questions and provide other assistance as necessary.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end close processes
• Intermediate Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas)
• Comfortable working with large datasets from a variety of different sources
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• International experience a plus
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to produce error free schedules and reports
Education and Experience:
• BS Degree in Accounting
• One to three years of prior accounting experience
• PowerBI experience a plus
