The PE Teacher provides instruction in a variety of physical education activities to students. They are responsible for developing lesson plans in keeping with the State of Florida's Physical Education guidelines, delivering instruction (individualized, small and whole group), evaluating student's progress, and effectively managing the class environment. Their duties also include following the grading policies, keeping accurate records of student progress, conducting informal assessments of students enrolled in the P.E. program, writing IEP goals, and completing progress reports.
Position details:
• Prepare and implement the instructional process for students with IEP’s
• Collaborate with content teachers to provide support and approved modification to the curriculum
• Implement standards for each student’s education in order to ensure a safe, secure and effective learning environment by providing a high degree of structure, clear expectations and consistency
