The role of the National Accounts Sales Representative is to represent Pella Corporation’s high quality brand, products, and services in major retail accounts by building relationships with, influencing, and training store associates. A competitive, outgoing individual will be motivated by variety, working independently and achieving sales goals in an assigned territory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsiblefor executing selling activities to reach objectives established for his/her territory. Provides input on strategic initiatives to increase sales and profitability.
Responsible for the success of the Pella program at the store level by negotiating store space and display locations to maximize the success of the Pella Design Center.
Responsible for managing a personal budget for travel and training expenses.
This position will be involved in SKU analysis at the store level to make strategic recommendations on product offerings.
The position is involved in research activities including surveys and other forms of market analysis. The rep will be relied upon to provide feedback to the corporation on the effectiveness of initiatives at the store level, analysis of competitive activity within the region, and overall regional market trends. The rep will be relied upon to give feedback and make suggestions based on their in market knowledge of these activities.
Plan, schedule and conduct formal Pella training sessions for associates, installers, and end user customers. Attendance at these sessions will range from approximately 10 to 100 people and will be in varying venues including hotels, corporate headquarters, and in store training rooms.
Serve as a Pella Corporation representative at important area and regional events with exposure to key account customers and business partners.
This position is the primary communication link between the company and the customer. As such, the rep is responsible for accurately portraying the Pella brand and product offerings. The reps will be responsible for answering customer questions and resolving customer concerns in a timely manner to maximize customer satisfaction within Pella business guidelines.
Responsible for leading training to assure that his/her contractors use installation practices which maintain the integrity of the product.
Responsible for the total control, direction, planning and development of his/her territory in producing overall results.
Expected to utilize customer relationship management software while remotely located. Need to be proficient in Microsoft Office.
Must be able to maintain travel requirements of 50%-75% with overnight stays. Must maintain a valid drivers license.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S./B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
