PACE of the Southern Piedmont, a not-for-profit, community-based organization committed to the wellness of seniors, is currently seeking an experienced para-transit Driver to join our dynamic team.
Driver Duties to include but not limited to:
- Assisting with participant check-in.
- Conducting maintenance runs and maintaining the cleanliness of Center vehicles.
- Safely transporting participants to medical appointments and Day Center visits.
- Providing door-to-door service to ensure participant exits residence safely and enters residence safely prior to leaving the residence.
- Participating as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team as requested.
- Covering driver's routes for vacation and callouts.
- Working weekends as needed. (3 am - 6 pm)
- Must have 1 year of experience working paratransit wheelchair lifts.
Required Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent, NC Driver's License in good standing, one year experience working with and transporting the frail and elderly, and at least 1 year experience in transporting handicapped or special needs individuals(preferred).
Candidates must be able to meet all physical requirements of the position including standing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, squatting, and walking for intermittent periods of time.
