Your Opportunity:
The Access Solutions Case Manager acts as a liaison between patients, providers, distributors, and insurance carriers to assure services are provided in the least restrictive and least costly manner.
The Case Manager is an Individual Contributor and reports to an Access Solutions Supervisor.
Key Accountabilities
- You will provide reimbursement support to patients, pharmacists, physicians, and the internal sales force.
- You will educate, inform, and assist patients and providers to navigate the reimbursement and appeal process for the assigned product.
- You will identify barriers to reimbursement, recommend program efficiencies, and facilitate referrals to alternative coverage options and financial assistance programs for underinsured patients.
- You will establish relationships with appropriate stakeholders, conduct benefits coverage, and perform payer research to ensure compliance with policies.
- You should be prepared for periodic mandatory overtime, including weekends, during high referral seasons or unexpected volume surges.
Who you are:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of reimbursement experience preferred
- Knowledge of the managed care industry, including government payers, and proficiency in all aspects of reimbursement (e.g., benefit investigations, payer reimbursement policies, regulatory and administrative rules).
- Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills and provides excellent customer service
- Excellent investigational and analytical skills, proven ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team structure while responsibly delegating next steps to appropriate team members.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Oregon is $30 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position is eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Incentive Compensation Plan for the role.
Contractors will be employees of Magnit, assigned to Genentech.
